THE MP3 EXPERIMENT EIGHT IMPROV EVERYWHERE 2011!!!
The Mp3 Experiment Eight took place on Saturday, July 16 at 8:30 PM in Lower Manhattan.

"The Mp3 Experiment is participatory public event created by Improv Everywhere. We stage a new Mp3 Experiment in New York each year and also tour the project regularly to college campuses and international festivals.
Here’s how it works: we put an original mp3 file online (usually around 45 minutes long) that people download and transfer to their mobile devices. Participants then synchronize their watches to an atomic clock on our website, head out to the same public location, and blend in with others. At the predetermined time, everyone presses play. Hilarity ensues as participants carry out ridiculous, coordinated instructions delivered to their headphones via narrator “Steve” and everyone else tries to figure out what the hell is going on."

SHAQUILLE ONEAL ANNOUNCED HIS RETIREMENT TODAY 6/1/2011!!!
Shaquille Oneal decided to retire today Wednesday June 1st 2011. The news came via Twitter, where he wrote simply "i'm retiring video:" with a link to this video announcing his last days and thanking fans.
So because of an Achilles injury he could not come back from, he decided that he didn't want to slow down the celtics team another year.
Shaq retires a four time NBA champion, three time Finals MVP, one time NBA MVP, 1993 Rookie of the Year, 15 time All-Star and eight time First Team All-NBA team member. He ranks fifth all time in career points. Prior to his retirement, O'Neal was the oldest player in the NBA.

On ESPN's "Mike And Mike In The Morning" radio show, former NBA player Scottie Pippen, who played side by side with the great Michael Jordan on the Bulls, said the most outlandish thing one could possibly say
"Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to ever play in the game, but I may go as far as to say Lebron James may be the greatest player to ever play the game"
WHAT?!?!?! Is Scottie Pippen on drugs? I know Scottie has a little sour spot for Jordan, but damn. In the voice of Ed Lover, "C'MON SON!!!" I have to give Scottie a Charlamagne da God of the The Breakfast Club "Donkey Of The Day."

ROBOCOP STATUE COMING TO DETROIT!!!
So Mayor Dave Bing of Detroit solicited ideas on the Internet for ways to help revive the city’s image. Fans suggested a Robocop statue in honor of 1987 film. Why would anyone suggest that you ask? Well, in the movie Robocop a half man/half machine was created to clean up the city of Detroit because it was in a terrible state. Makes sense to me! But the Mayor didn't think it was such a good idea. In fact, he literally made it seem like the worst idea ever. Well the joke's on him. The Imagination Station thought it would look great and offered up a space for the statue. They started a campaign to collect donations to have the metal supercop made. The city of Detroit raised the $60,000+ needed to build it in just one week. It’s currently in early production stages. Hey, now I have one reason to visit Detroit.
