The prequel to 'Planet Of The Apes' entitled 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' is set to release August 5th 2011.
Starring James Franco as a scientist working on a cure for Alzheimer's by testing on apes. When test subject Caesar suddenly begins to mutate rapidly, the scientist takes him home to remove him from the cruel lab doctors.
Doesn’t it look good? But … I do have one problem with this film … while I have no difficulty at all believing that these super apes can evolve to the point where they enslave all of mankind, I am having a bit of trouble believing James Franco as any kind of scientist. But, I suppose, this film is fiction so … we must suspend belief for a minute. I was initially a bit worried by the notion of a prequel to the 1968 film The Planet of the Apes … but after seeing this trailer, my worries have been put to rest.
