Converse has been granted the rights to use the Super Mario image in the new collection.
Four sneakers will be released, two will have repeating images of Mario and a red converse sneaker throughout, on the insoles images of Luigi and a green Chuck.
The other two sneakers contain screenshots from the game itself and a Roll-Down flap on the upper. One is a image of Mario on level 1 jumping over goomba’s, and the other shows mario battling with King Koopa in the last level.
On the tongue is a Super Mario Bros tag, a yellow star replaces the blue star in the patch on the ankle and on the heel. The sneakers come packaged in a Super Mario Bros box.
The two pairs with the repeating Mario images will be released in July and the other two are scheduled for an August release. Stay tuned for more info
